IUA Secondary School Expo: ASTRONOMICAL OBSERVATORIES

We explore enclaves dedicated to the operation of tools for observing the depths of the sky, where mankind reaches and deciphers marvelous cosmic landscapes totally beyond human reach and scale.

After learning about the peculiarities of different types of telescopes, the students of the 1st year of Bachillerato (4th year of Secondary School) toured the main observatories of the world.

Guided by their Astronomy Teacher, Alberto Vaccaro, the working teams of the three groups researched about their characteristics, geographical location and specialization and chose an observatory to go deeper.

The results of the training in their basic skills of searching, classifying, prioritizing, selecting, synthesizing and communicating information were presented on posters, which are displayed in the school lobby.

The objective, in addition to advancing in the study of the subject, is that the contents generated serve to inform other people about advances in technology in relation to Astronomy.

Congratulations!
