The 3rd concert of the 2023 Season of Conciertos del Este, which took place last Saturday at Jean Clevers Parque Hotel, reaped a tide of applause that seemed to have no end.

“She, the prestigious pianist Mariana Airaudo, he, Rodrigo G. Pahlen, born in Switzerland, Uruguayan parents, is a virtuoso harmonica player and composer. They performed several pieces composed by him. There were brilliant moments. Pahlen referred to the great similarity between the sounds of the harmonica and the bandoneon.”

His grandfather, the Austrian Kurt Pahlen, was director of the SODRE, director of the Colón, composer, wrote more than 60 books, and fundamentally was a great pedagogue of adults and above all of children, a field where he promoted his love for music.

In the words of Maestro Homero Burgueño, who accompanied the delegation of students invited by the School together with Teacher Mayte Jiménez de Aréchaga: “a spectacular concert”.
