Mahé Waroquiers

My name is Mahé Waroquiers, and I was also a student at IUA. I started my schooling in Level 2 and I was in high school until my 3rd year of high school. I recently finished my first year of college at a hospitality university in Luxembourg. To conclude my academic year I had to do 3 months of internship in a hotel in Paris as a receptionist. To tell the truth, I was lucky to have a bilingual schooling because it helped me to get into my university (where all my courses are in English) and to get my internship. Nowadays having a good level in English is mandatory. And speaking Spanish and, in my case, French and Portuguese, made my supervisors have no doubts about my admission and internship. There are few schools in the world today that insist so much on a bilingual education. I assure you that very few people I crossed during my year in Europe had started learning English at the age of 2. And even fewer people who had so many English diplomas (FCE,CAE,CPE) and also international diplomas like the IGCSE, which you, like me, have the possibility to get. I can say that English is part of my life. I use it every day and every day I try to improve it and enrich myself with new things. Of all languages, English will always be my favorite and I always choose it as my first choice to communicate and express myself with foreigners. 98% of the time it is the language I have in common with people of other nationalities. After working as a receptionist, if they didn't speak Spanish, French or Portuguese, it was always English that we used to communicate. Finally, languages are very important for our future. And the more we perfect them, the more doors will open. In my opinion, "it is the key to success".
