Infrastructure
Since its birth (in the chalet Abuela Milka of Pda.11), the School alternated in several locations, fact motivated by the growth of the enrollment and the building requirements that this determined, until in 1985 it was installed in its current location in Parada 6 of Playa Mansa.
The building growth has accompanied the institutional growth; to the already existing classrooms, specially equipped with the comfort and technical means necessary for the exercise of teaching, a new block of classrooms with independent access for preschool and school children was incorporated.
The preschoolers have their own building – the “casita” – with comfortable and sunny classrooms, Nursery, playground, garden and synthetic grass court, in addition to the traditional courts and games next to the school that they use daily for recreation and sports. IUA Kinder has a Nursery and Changing Room, a safe, private, easily accessible space, sanitized according to ANEP’s sanitary protocol, where mothers will find a changing table, sink and refrigerator and will enjoy a comfortable environment with functional music and heating, to meet the needs of the breastfeeding stage.
Both the school grounds and the sports field are fully fenced and controlled by closed-circuit television with digital video recorder, and have a mobile medical emergency service.
Trusted staff members meet, receive and dismiss the children daily, handing them over to their elders or to whom they authorize, being their safety and well-being our greatest concern.
The main building, specially designed for education, well lit and heated, consists of four floors for the use of primary and secondary students: large classrooms, physics, chemistry and biology laboratories and science laboratories for preschoolers, computer rooms, assembly rooms, libraries for preschoolers, schoolchildren and high school students, dining rooms around the kitchen and canteen and another on the 3rd floor, a plastic arts studio, a corporal expression room, and separate restrooms for each level.

The IUA Sports Field, located in a strategic place in Punta del Este, in the Parque del Golf neighborhood, has, in addition to the attraction of being surrounded by large green spaces, the ease of access from Pedragosa Sierra Avenue, which starts at Stop 5 of the Rambla de la Playa Mansa.
The facilities in the ample grounds include a closed stadium, grass and hard floor courts, changing rooms, club house for the social activities of the whole family and friends of the school, barbecue, mini zoo, indigenous flora mount, traditional games, weaving workshop with spinning wheels and looms, and a walk where students discover the properties of geometric bodies by analyzing sculptures distributed among orange trees, among other curiosities.
